Bug #2367
openMENUS: Context Menus - Additional context menu designs needed
0%
Description
more context menus in the old kepler/ptii UI, for which we don't yet have new
designs. It may be that some of these will use the designs we already have on
the wiki, but we need to make a decision one way or another
To see them, right click on:
- link/relation (the lines connecting actors - we already talked about this.
currently has: configure)
- ports on an actor - (currently has: configure, customize name, documentation,
send to back, bring to front, Listen to port)
- ports added by using menu "Workflow->add port->" or by clicking add port
buttons on toolbar. right clicking on new port gives popup menu (currently has:
configure, customize name, documentation, send to back, bring to front)
- Relation added by using menu "Workflow->add relation" or by clicking add
relation button on toolbar. right clicking on new diamond-shaped relation gives
popup menu (currently has: configure, get documentation)
- parameters - listed in actor library tree, under Keper Actor
Ontology->Workflow Component->Parameter (currently has: configure, customize
name, documentation, send to back, bring to front)

Also need to revisit context menu designs after looking at the latest "as-is"
screenshot at:

In particular, we should double-check that we're incorporating all the
existing menu items, either in the right cick menus or elsewhere in the dialogs
etc, since some have been added since the original new designs were done

Laura -
For the 1.0 release, once you have checked the current right-click menus in the nightly build, you can change the entries if necessary (add or remove entries, or change names) by editing the file:
kepler\configs\ptolemy\configs\kepler\uiContextMenuMappings_en_US.properties
The beginning of that file has full documentation

I am moving suggested interface changes to beyond a 1.0 release. (basically because no work has been done.)
