Description
I think this was triggered by the fix for 4478. The apply button now acts like the commit button, as the ports window is closed even if there is no obvious failure of the change request and even if all of the changes seem to succeed.

Also, for what it's worth, this problem occurs with r21314. However, with r21218, the commit button seems to behave like the apply button in that the ports window is not closed. The one was apparently fixed somewhere between r21218 and r21314, but the original bug for which this ticket was opened remains.

Fixed in the Ptolemy head.
I'm not sure what's so difficult about this little bit of code that prevents me
from getting it right :-)
